Why did you choose accounting for your career? Why ACCA?

I chose accounting as my father is an accountant and I wanted to follow his career progression. I chose ACCA as it is the most well known accounting body and its qualification is respected across the world.

What field of work or study were you in before you started your ACCA exams?

Prior to ACCA, I took part in the Accounting Technicians Ireland apprenticeship programme from 2018 to 2020. I then joined ACCA after I qualified through ATI.

Why did you choose Accountancy School?

I had heard from previous colleagues that they were doing their studies with accountancy school and had been successful, so I chose the same learning provider.

What advice would you give to someone starting their ACCA journey?

The ACCA journey is a tough but rewarding one. It is important that you keep focused on the end goal no matter how far away it is. Each exam is a challenge in itself but by overcoming each one you feel more confident in your abilities and can continue on the journey.

What is your career goal after gaining your ACCA qualification?

I have not yet decided as I will take a deserved break once qualified, but I will most definitely not be finished with my studies as you can always improve yourself!
