Why did you choose accounting for your career? Why ACCA?

I always had a love for maths and business in school and so I decided to study accounting in college and I loved the course. I chose ACCA as they are a globally recognised body and I felt it would give me more opportunities for the future.

What field of work or study were you in before you started your ACCA exams?

I studied a BA (Hons) in Accounting in ATU Sligo.

Why did you choose Accountancy School?

I had read the testimonials from students who had studied with Accountancy School, and they were all extremely positive about the courses and the lecturers. Also, the fact that they consistently have students who achieve the highest marks in Ireland and in the world, I felt that they would be the best providers to help me pass my final ACCA exams.

What advice would you give to someone starting their ACCA journey?

Stay calm. It can seem like there’s a long journey ahead but you will get there. For exams, practising revision questions is key. It will take a lot of hard work, but also don’t let it take over; make sure to find time to do the things you love and enjoy.

What is your career goal after gaining your ACCA qualification?

I would love to expand my knowledge in the area of tax and sit the tax exams in the future.
